02 STATEMENT OF INTENT

Brief 3: Magazine and Online. Statement of intent- magazine My brief is to produce the front covers and contents pages of the first two pages of a recent music magazine that is being launched by an independent publisher and two pages for the working website of the magazine. Vibewire magazine will target an audience of 16-25-year-old middle market audience. My magazine will create a minimal vibe yet also effective to engage the audience. I want it to focus on 21st century music and upcoming trends. To engage the target demographic, I will use photos of models that are of a similar age and standing for different social groups. I will use a female and male model to cater to multiple people using a black, white and grey colour scheme for the male cover making it a simple cover that has a more simple vibe to it as well as using colours based off of his outfit, which I will also do for my temale cover. She will be wearing red, white, and blue, those of the American flag, and my theme for the magazine will capture that. The second cover will capture the mies-en-scene by having the first issue in the corner showing is it a continuing magazine LStatement of intent- website The style of minimalistic will continue in my website, I will useda white and black colour scheme but the photos I will all follow a colourful colour scheme, including pinks and blues. The magazine is meant to be very girly, with monthly updates changing its theme, but I wiil keep the website black and white so it can match whatever photographs are being used for the following month to go along with the next issue. I am going to keep my audio segment short and it will attract them to watch on and follow our YouTube page leading to further engagement. My visual element will be on the hyperlinked page which will be a short reel of my model doing her skincare which links to the page that is dedicated to the artist of the month and her success. The overall theme is going to be very girly to attract the musician's listeners as the 'artist of the month is a woman with a 16-24-year-old female demographic. I will put social media icons on the front page so viewers can easily find our other social media platforms as our audience are the biggest social media consumers (our demographic) How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent nature of your media production? After reading the magazine, the way I will be encouraging my audience to read my website is by having my website name in the top left corner of both issues as well as my contents pages. These will both be easily visible and show there is a website to access. On the contents page it will also show there is a monthly subscription that can be signed up to and using a code, a discount can be applied. This will also help show we have a website as viewers can search for it and sign up to the monthly subscriptions through seeing it on the physical magazine.
